A plain sloping small site and reasonably free from overlooking windows. The client has suggested a decking rectangle set at an angle across the garden and cut into the slope. This view is looking up the garden from the property.
We suggested starting the deck at the back door to make full use of the benefit of being able to have the surface at the level of the floor inside the house. This also made maximum use of the limited space as the step down and narrow path outside of the door now becomes a usable area.
The revised design now gives the deck a curved edge. There will be a water feature in the top corner and a 'dry river bed' will curve down the slope and under the deck.
The 'dry river bed is being constructed and some of the planting carried out. Another day or so should see the work completed.
